Paws for Thought is based in Alderton, Wiltshire and is run by myself Sophie Francis. We cover Acton Turville, Littleton Drew, Badminton, Alderton, Luckington, Brook End, Sherston, Pinkey, Sopworth, Willesley, Didmarton, and Easton Grey. If your area is not listed please get in touch and we will do our best to help. We understand that no two dogs are the same and tailor each walk to suit your dogs requirements. Nothing is more important to us than your dogs happiness and safety. We understand your dog is a very important family member. We are very experienced in handling all breeds from Terriers to Great Danes. No dog is to small or big. Canine First Aid Trained and Fully Insured to walk up to 6 dogs per walk and to transport your dog in our professional dog walking van including Public Liability Insurance.
Group Dog Walking
Don’t feel guilty about leaving your pet alone. My Group Dog Walking service gives your pet maximum care, even when you can’t be there. Group walks are between four and six dogs. We offer a free meet and greet so we can get to know and ensure we are the right fit for your dog/s. We are very careful to ensure that dogs are matched to compliment their personalities and also exercise requirements. Dogs are a pack animal and love to be part of a group. Your dog/s will be picked up in our professional dog walking van. This means we can go and explore new walks and smells! Walks are full of fun, enrichment, socialisation and love. If it is safe to do so and with your written permission we will let your dog off the lead. We aim to drop home a tired, happy and where possible a clean dog back. We have our own portable dog shower. Rest assured we work tirelessly to ensure that each individual dogs needs are met. Please note that during the Summer months we will adapt our walks accordingly your dogs welfare is our Priority. Prices start from £13 for an hours walk.
All About Me
I am Sophie Francis and I am the very proud owner of Paws for Thought. I am very passionate about animals and their welfare. I am married to my long suffering husband Andrew! We have bought my family cottage in Alderton, Wiltshire. We live with our six beautiful and crazy Spaniels Mabel, Doris, Bessie, Daisy, Lizzie and last but not least Frieda ❤️. Life is never dull! We are also owned by six gorgeous Persian cats Winston, Churchill, Odette, Clemmie, Mickey and Minnie 💜. They truly are the heartbeat of our home. I am a Country girl threw and threw. I love nothing more than walking over the lush green fields with my dogs by my side watching the seasons change and hearing the birds sing. I grew up with dogs and cats so it was inevitable i was going to have my own. I am forever grateful that my love of dogs is also my business.

Sophie is amazing! At nearly 13, our lab can get breathless because of a tumour in her lung, but Sophie keeps an eye on her and gives her so much love! She is also very sensitive to noise, so Sophie works around her, taking her to the quietest places for her walks. Sophie is reliable, totally trustworthy, and the dogs always come first!
